Key Ongoing Projects that Require your Support
ASE Dorothea Rescue Centre
Our Lady of Assumption Dorothea Rescue Centre owned and managed by The Assumption Sisters of Eldoret is located along Kangundo road next to Komarock Shrine, Machakos County. It is a charitable organization started in October 2020 to rescue, rehabilitate and reintegrate street-connected girls back into their families. The home is meant to provide home and care for the street girls within Machakos County and Nairobi Metropolitan area.
The home officially opened its door to welcome fifteen girls on the 17th of June 2021
While at Dorothea Rescue Centre, the children undergo rehabilitation for a period of between 3-6months after which they are reintegrated to the relevant institutions i.e. home placement, boarding schools or networking with other programs.
ASE Home for Aged and/or Sickly Sisters
After many years of services, the elderly women Religious who have lived a consecrated lives in full dedication to Christ, honouring their vows to serve God and humanity, require a place retire to. It is in the recognition of this need that we are constructing a home for the aged and/or sickly sisters, and we depend our friends, supporters and benefactors to assist us achieve this big undertaking. Assumption sister of Eldoret Morning Star Rehabilitation Centre
Assumption sister of Eldoret Morning Star Rehabilitation Centre for street boys was started in 1993 by the Congregation of the Assumption sisters of Eldoret. A local congregation of the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret. Its aim was to cater for the increasing number of street children in Eldoret town. Many of the street children experience rejection and have low self-esteem. With our deep commitment, we have won the trust of street children and therefore have tremendously important role to play to reduce t… We rescue, rehabilitate and Reintegrate children from the street of Eldoret Kenya Uasin Gishu County.
Our main objective is “To give Holistic Care to the street children thus enabling them to grow and develop as an integral part of the society and restoring their human dignity’’ .
